boston, ma.
joey left us. i was sad.
the lonely three of us took advantage of free target nights at the ica and then enjoyed the nightlife in boston.
here i am on the patio "water cafe" a wolfgang puck whatever at the ica:
(is it just my computer or do i look a little dead here?)
a highlight of the nightlife included finding this plaque at the corner of water st. and devonshire which commemorates the site of the house of my ancestor, mary chilton, the first child to step off the mayflower and the first white woman settler or something in boston.
also i think mary chilton is a common ancestor of me and al. is that right, al?

boston, ma.
it was joey's last full day in boston.
we checked out the fenway victory gardens, which were cool, and then headed to harvard square where none other than THE john christensen (which is to say, one of them, this one the one we call "cousin john") picked us up and treated us to famous ice cream. many exciting adventures ensued, but with the help of sadie the satellite navigator we, and all our bags, made it safely home.
(this isn't acutally the rancatore's we went to, but the battery plague hit us all hard and we just didn't have a chance to take our own picture.)

boston, ma.
So, when I say Boston, what do you think?
Boston Cream Pie?
Boston Tea Parties?
"Hey Boss, tone it down"?
It better not be Boston Baked Beans... so gross.
Well, I'll tell you what I think of.
Andrew Bird playing in Boston... AND, the Hopper exhibit at the MFA that Jo went to using the Brighton Library pass that got you in for $7. And I have to add that it was free general admission at the museum this afternoon. Awesome.

mothers' day
boston, ma.
liz and mom played a duet in church.
may 14, 2007
times square, nyc, ny.
i tell you one thing one thing new yorkers know how to do right is the giant colorful chocolate.
i like chocolate.
(one thing they don't: temperature. what-the-cold?! and all those tall buildings blocking the sun don't help either. stealing jenny's jacket did, though. for a bit.)
oh. and in this picture we're waiting while my mom decides if she should buy her new digital camera on a whim in a little shop.
